Today I serve as the Technical Director @ Sopra Steria company for the Business Line of Digital Solutions (DiSo), deeply involved in software craftsmanship, architectural thinking, and technology leadership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My journey in tech began when I transitioned from being a naval officer \u2014 and quickly realized I wanted to build things, not navigate ships. I dove into software as a Java developer in 2007<\/strong>, and ever since have been swimming in various waters of the digital world: from web systems to AI experiments, agile practices to creative side hustles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over time, another passion emerged: history \u2014 not just of people, but of technology itself<\/strong>. That curiosity grew into this site, where I share thoughts on software development, the stories behind technology, and the occasionally unexpected side interests that pop up along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Name: mITy John<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

TThe name is a bit of wordplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s pronounced exactly like \u201cmighty john.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pronunciation:<\/strong> \/\u02c8ma\u026ati d\u0292\u0252n\/ \u2014 \u201cmighty john\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The capital IT<\/strong> in the middle is intentional \u2014 it highlights Information Technology<\/em>, which sits at the core of what I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
